Request a matching data sheet for the exact offered model, a clear serial/model identification process, warranty terms, commissioning scope and any available load-test documentation. For a silent set, request the enclosure specification and measurement conditions for any sound-level claim.
When a project has motors, lifts, UPS loads or synchronization, the technical schedule should be reviewed against the actual load rather than selected only from catalogue capacity.
How to compare a Ricardo quotation
Two quotations carrying the Ricardo name can still use different engine models, alternators, controllers, acoustic packages, breakers and assembly standards. The model references on the quotation are therefore more useful than the brand name by itself.
Ask whether the stated output is prime or standby, what ambient assumptions apply, which alternator and controller are included, and whether the warranty covers the complete genset or only selected components. For imported equipment, verify the local parts and service route before purchase.
